Civilist, based in the heart of Berlin, needs no introduction to skateboarding and the culture that it lives within. First opening their store in 2009 in the Mitte district, they were one of the pioneers in ushering in a new premium skate store that fully enveloped the lifestyle that surrounded them. They pushed the boundaries for what a store could be and evolved their brand, with Civilist now regularly producing seasonal collections. While constantly seeking inspiration from a host of inputs, their friends, crew, and community, they have ridden the many waves of change, both around Berlin and across the skate and fashion landscape. Never straying from their creative perspective and beliefs, Civilist continue to push forward and constantly seek out new and alternative angles.

Being anchored to the Berlin culture they are part of, the Civilist boys turned to the timeless ZX. A silhouette with a rich local history, yet an unwritten future. Opting for a clean approach with subtle details is a Civilist signature move, and one that has united the skate, lifestyle and fashion crowds that have come to symbolise the store.
